This course will be unique in that all of the classes will take place inside of a minimum security prison designed to help returning citizens transition back to mainstream society called the Boston Pre-Release Center. The class will be comprised of about 50% Brandeis students and 50% incarcerated students. All prospective students must meet with the professor to discuss their schedule compatibility with the course (it is a 45-minute drive from campus) and comfortability with this unconventional format before enrolling in the course. Due to COVID restrictions at the facility, the class can only currently accommodate 6 students but interested students should get on the waitlist because circumstances may change by August.
