Topic for Spring 2017: Research Methods in Linguistics Prerequisites for Spring 2017: Two courses from the following: LING 110a, LING 120b, LING 130a, and LING 140a. One of the two courses must be LING 110a or LING 120b. For advanced linguistics students, a hands-on introduction to the scholarly and scientific approaches to research in linguistics, including the terminology, concepts, and procedures associated with scientific thought, ethical practice, and academic writing in the field of linguistics.
