Topic for fall 2015: Nation and Narration By reading novels, poems, chronicles, and autobiographies from distinctive regions in Latin America (Argentina, Cuba and Peru), we will explore discourses of national construction and definition of identity. These texts are the arena for cultural debates around topics of race, class, and gender, outlining ways in which national subjects have been and are still defined.
